HELZ optimizes production costs

A modern impregnation technology for brass products is implemented for quality enhancement and product cost reduction at Kharkiv Electrotechnical Plant “Ukrelectromash”.

When applying modern technology of impregnation by resin “Loxeal 70-90” (environmentally-friendly material), leakage of products is eliminated.

This applied, for example, to flanged shields of centrifugal pumps BCPP (БЦПП) Series.

According to the words of Oleg Dorofeev, Technical Director, “another advantage of the implemented technology is that it doesn’t require additional energy costs.”

As Alexander Kolesnikov, HELZ’s General Director, noted, “that work was performed under the cost-reduction programme that will allow our products to be more competitive.”

Production growth in major industry segments enhances market for electric motors

According to the State Committee of Statistics of Ukraine, industrial production index showed a growth in January-February 2010compared with 2009 in main industry segments utilizing electric motors.

Thus, this index in engineering industry accounted for 120,8%, in chemical industry – 121,8%, in light industry – 105,4%. The same situation is in Russia.

As Inna Belyaeva, Marketing Director of the Electrotechnical Division of the IG UPEC, notes, “industries utilizing electric motors face production growth. Thanks to this, orders for industrial electric motors of JSC HELZ “UKRELECTROMASH” go up. For example, in April, 2010, production volume of general-industry induction electric motors at the enterprise is two times higher compared with the previous period.”

Since April 12, 2010, Alexander Shishkin has been appointed Director of HELZ Trading House of the Electrotechnical Division by the Board of Directors of jsc UPEC.

Alexander N. Shishkin was born in 1971. He graduated from NTU “KhPI”, Electrical Engineering Department. He worked in TH Veles, Ltd. until April this year. Management experience is more than 5 years. Andrey Shutka, previous Director of TH HELZ, was voluntary discharged.
